Podiatrists are medical specialists who help people of all ages with many foot-related conditions. About 70% of people have or will suffer from foot-related problems during their lifetime. The word podiatry is derived from the Greek word ‘podos’ which means foot. Thus, literally translated, podiatry means foot therapy.
Jogging can put a lot of strain on the hip joint and cause pain. Overloading is often the reason for discomfort during and after jogging. This is primarily caused by too long, intense running units or following insufficient regeneration. A typical consequence of the overload is a bursitis of the so-called trochanteric bursits. Pain located deep on the side of the hip may be an indication of this.
Due to the current situation, many people work from home. We love our home, but our bodies are not used to working there. It is very tempting to work at the kitchen table in comfortable clothes, barefoot or with slippers and maybe write your last e-mails from your bed or sofa.
