First, the screening process begins: through an anamnesis and a possible physical examination, we see whether we as podiatrists are the right contact for the problem. If this is not the case, we communicate this clearly and naturally refer you to the appropriate doctor or therapist. During this step we also look for risk factors that can occur in various clinical pictures.
Methods to find out where the problem is to be determined in the walk or stance. We use the anamnesis described in the previous step as the basis for the physical examination. In this diagnostic process, we would like to try to ask different questions in connection with your help question.
During the examination, the body is analyzed both at rest (static) and when walking dynamically. In order to confirm and visualize the results, this examination is carried out using a pressure measurement. In addition, physical examinations are carried out with regard to the symptoms mentioned. These are resistance and function tests of various body structures.
After the diagnostic examination, a treatment plan will be drawn up together with you. Among other things, the option for individually adapted insoles will be discussed. However, it can also be advised to refer the patient to another institution, for example to an orthopedic surgeon or physiotherapist. Further treatments, such as active exercises or shoe advice, are also explained and demonstrated in this step. The goal is to tackle the problem together with you and to find a long-term solution.
In addition, the prices are also discussed in this process. If you decide on a pair of insoles, a 3D scan of the foot will be made. After the appointment with us, our podiatrist gets to work to model and manufacture the soles that have been ordered. A follow-up appointment will be arranged together at which the soles will then be ready for use.

The soles will then be picked up at the next appointment. It is important that you bring different pairs of shoes, as will be asked during the first appointment. Shoes that you wear frequently and sneakers are particularly suitable for this. This is important so that you can wear the insoles as often as possible and not be tied to a specific pair of shoes. Then we check whether the soles fit into these shoes.
We will explain to you what to expect when wearing the soles in the next few days and what the goal of the different elements of the soles is. We recommend gradually increasing the amount of time you wear the soles and calling us if you have any questions or complaints. A follow-up appointment will be scheduled for 6 weeks later.
At the check-up appointment, we evaluate the results together. We will check your position on the insoles and discuss the progress of the complaints in the last few weeks. If there are still problems, we will try to fix them by making changes to the insoles, if necessary, so that you can wear the insoles completely symptom-free.
Of course, you can make an appointment with us at any time by phone or e-mail if you are not completely satisfied.
We point out that our feet change in the course of life, and it is therefore advisable to have the insoles checked annually. If you wish, we will be happy to remind you of the check-up date by phone or email.
